In 2015 Gilad was approached by composer Neely Bruce about performing excerpts from his oratorio “Circular 14: The Apotheosis of Aristedes”, which tells the story of a Portuguese diplomat who saved over 30,000 World War II refugees in 1940 by issuing them illegal visas to his neutral country.
On October 29th, Gilad will have the honor to sing a duet from this piece in an event to benefit the Aristedes de Sousa Mendes Foundation.
